There must be one on-site organizer, or coordinating group, in place to act as intermediary between Birth2Work and the stakeholder participants, in advance of and in between lyceum/summit days. Besides that, there is no minimum or limit to the number of people that can be involved. At a ratio of approximately 1:20 (one volunteer facilitator for every 20 expected participants), facilitators meet with Birth2Work leaders for a one day training, several weeks ahead of the scheduled lyceum/summit day to discuss the objectives and learn their role in leading attendees through Birth2Work’s Six Step Process. On the day of the event, facilitators are ready to begin the process of alignment and transformation with participants. Follow-up is determined by the community stakeholder leaders based on goals and objectives.

Vicki Haugen (facing us in the photo above) was a featured speaker at the Illinois Dropout Prevention Summit held November 4th 2009 in Bloomington / Normal Illinois.  Vicki also heads up the on-site coordinator group, Vermilion Advantage, that is currently using the Birth2Work six step process in their community. You can hear Vicki Haugen on Birth2Work Radio.
